The Government of India launched the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for Senior Citizens 2024. To provide Life Insurance coverage to all the citizens of India who are above the age of 70 years the Union Cabinet of India has approved the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for Senior Citizens 2024. Under this initiative, the Government of India will provide Life Insurance coverage of up to INR 5 lakh to all senior citizens who are above the age of 70 years. The Union Cabinet of India led by the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has approved the launch of 70+ Ayushman Bharat Scheme. The main objective of launching the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for Senior Citizens is to provide Life Insurance coverage to all the senior citizens of India. According to the Government of India a total of 6 crore senior citizens from 4.5 crore families in India will receive the benefits under the Ayushman Bharat Scheme for Senior Citizens. All the senior citizens who will get selected under the scheme are eligible to receive a different Ayushman card that will help to get free treatment in various hospitals in India.
