What is Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana?
Women in Gujarat are given financial assistance worth Rs. 1 lakh, divided into three installments, under the Gujarat Vahli Dikri Yojana. This scheme enables women to marry and pursue higher education, thereby enhancing their social and financial standing. This financial assistance will be given to a family’s first and second daughters upon their 18th birthday. According to the scheme, the state would have 883 girls for every 1000 boys, a reduction in both the sex ratio and the female birth rate. Girls will turn the negative thinking of them in society by becoming independent and powerful through higher education. Child marriage can be avoided as well with the help of this program.

Eligibility Criteria
