What is the AICTE Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme?
The AICTE YASHASVI scholarship scheme for students pursuing degrees in Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering was introduced by the Chairman of the AICTE. The prize is given out based on merit. Diploma students are chosen based on their performance in the 10th grade, whereas degree students are chosen based on their performance in the 12th grade. Students must submit a letter from their institution head and their passing certificate or mark sheet to have their scholarship renewed annually. Once a year, applications for the YASHASVI scholarship will be accepted. After the application process begins, eligible students must submit their applications online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).

The objective of the AICTE Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme 2024
The primary objective of the AICTE Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme 2024 is to provide many engineering courses to students who want to pursue a career in engineering in the future. The Yashasvi initiative has been created to support meritorious students pursuing technical education in the core branches of engineering. The objective of this scholarship is to provide deserving students with the opportunity to pursue technical education. In various fields like Civil, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic, and Mechanical Engineering in AICTE-approved technical institutions. This scholarship will provide quality education and financial assistance to the students who are deserving and to work for a bright future for themselves and this country.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate should be admitted to the First year of a Degree/ Diploma level course in any of the AICTE-approved institutions of the respective year.
- The student should an Indian resident
- The student should have at least passed 10th or 12th grade
- The student should have a good academic score in their board exams.

Financial Assistance
For Degree Level Students
Rs. 18,000/- per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum of 4 years for first-year admitted students.
For Diploma Level Students
Rs. 12,000/- per annum for every year of study i.e. maximum of 3 years for first-year admitted students.

No of Scholarship
- Under this program, a total of 5,000 scholarships—2,500 for degree programs and 2,500 for diploma programs—are set aside annually for students enrolled in first-year degree or diploma-level engineering programs at any AICTE-approved institution.
- The allocation of the 5,000 scholarships (2,500 for degree programs and 2,500 for diploma programs) among the states and union territories is outlined in Annexures A and B.
Selection Process
For Degree Level Students:
1) Candidates will be chosen only based on their merit for pursuing the Technical Degree Core branch of engineering from any AICTE-approved institution, based on their qualifying grade of twelve.
For Diploma Level Students:
1) Candidates will be chosen only based on their merit for pursuing the technical diploma core branch of engineering from any AICTE-approved institution, based on their qualification (10th grade).
AICTE Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme Apply Online 2024
To apply for the AICTE Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme, complete the steps listed below.
Step 1: Visit the National e scholarships portal also known as NSP. You will be landed on the homepage of the scheme. First, you must create your own ID on NSP
Step 2: on the homepage of the screen, you must find the application corner option from the home screen. Click on the New Application option. Use your Application ID to log in
Step 3: Then a new page will appear; carefully fill in all the requested information. Upload the required files.
Step 4: Please make sure that all the details that you have entered are correct. Select the “Submit” option.
Step 5; now wait for the confirmation email from the governing body.
