About Digi-Lakshmi Scheme
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh state, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, has announced the launch of the Digi-Lakshmi Scheme. Under this scheme, the Andhra Pradesh State government will build more than 9000 common service centres across all Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the State. The scheme was approved by the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) and was launched by the authorities on 30th June 2025. The common service centre set up by the Andhra Pradesh State government will be managed by the women of a self-help group (SHG). The centres under the scheme will be considered as ‘ATOM Kiosk’ and will provide a total of 250 services to the citizens.

Objective of AP Digi-Lakshmi Scheme
The main objective of launching the scheme is to provide employment opportunities to the female citizens of the SHG group. The main aim of launching the scheme is to transform the SHGs into Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This conversion will significantly enhance the overall income of the female citizens who belong to the SHG group. The scheme is a part of the great initiative started by the Andhra Pradesh State government called ‘One Family, One Entrepreneur’ (OF-OE). All the female citizens who are between the age group of 21 to 40 years and who have a valid graduate degree are eligible to become a representative at the centres.
