With the help of this scheme, the Delhi government will allow the female citizens of Delhi to travel free in DTC and cluster buses. Objective of Saheli Smart Card
The main objective of launching the Saheli Smart Card is to allow the female citizens of Delhi to travel freely in various DTC and cluster buses without paying a single rupee. All the female citizens of Delhi who are above the age of 12 years are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme. The scheme will allow female citizens to travel in public transport without any payment or ticket cost. The Saheli Smart Card will be issued under the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) framework. The scheme will significantly enhance the number of citizens travelling by public transport.
