The Himachal Pradesh State authorities have launched the scheme. The decision to launch their scheme was made by the Union Minister for Labor & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, during the 196th meeting of the ESIC Corporation held in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The steam will remain effective from July 1st, 2025, to December 1st, 2025. This scheme will provide a one-time opportunity to the employers and employees of Himachal Pradesh State to register themselves under the ESIC framework. The registered employees will receive financial benefits in case of emergency illness or other unfortunate events.

Objective of SPREE 2025
The main objective of launching the scheme is to allow employers and employees to register under the ESCI framework easily. With the help of this scheme the employers can digitally register establishments and eligible employees through the ESCI portal, Shram Suvidha portal and MCA portal. The registration will eliminate the fear of past liabilities and encourage voluntary compliance, thereby extending health and social security benefits to contractual, temporary, and irregular workers. The scheme waives past dues and inspections, which is a major concern for private establishments.
