What is Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana?
The Maharashtra state government launched the Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana in June 2024 to financially help the female citizens of the state. With the help of financial assistance of INR 1500 monthly the female citizens can get basic necessities and food commodities without any financial problems. According to the information a total of 1.6 crore female citizens of Maharashtra state are selected under the scheme and are receiving benefits. The Chief Minister of Maharashtra state Mr Eknath Shinde has announced that if their party gets reelected in the Maharashtra state they will increase the financial help under the scheme.
The objective of Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana
The main objective of launching the Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana is to uplift the lives of all the female citizens of the state who belong to the economically weaker section of society. By providing financial assistance to female citizens, the Maharashtra state government will ensure that female citizens do not have to depend on anyone for their daily expenses. With the help of this glorious scheme, the Maharashtra state government has uplifted the lives of more than 1.6 crore female citizens of Maharashtra state. Till now the Maharashtra state government has distributed a total of INR 4,787 crore to the beneficiaries under the scheme.

The Maharashtra state government has also launched the Ladakibahin.maharashtra.gov.in Portal to simplify the process of applying for the scheme online. The portal will help female citizens get all the latest information released by the authorities regarding the scheme. With the help of the online portal, female citizens can check their installment dates, application status, beneficiary list, and other important details online. Female citizens can save a lot of time and effort by just applying for the scheme online without visiting any government office.
Ladki Bahin Yojana 4th and 5th Installment
As of now, a total of 5 installments of the Ladki Bahin Yojana have been released by the Maharashtra state government. The latest installment of the scheme is the 4th and 5th installment which was given to all the beneficiaries as one. The financial assistance that was given under the 4th and 5th installments is INR 3000. A total of 34 lakh female citizens across Maharashtra state have already availed the benefits of the 4th and 5th installments of the scheme. The Maharashtra state government will use the DBT method to transfer the funds under the scheme directly to the bank account of each beneficiary.
Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Yojana November Installment
The Maharashtra state government has delayed the November installment of the scheme because of the state election in November. As per the information from the current Chief Minister of Maharashtra state, the authorities will increase the financial assistance under the scheme if they get reelected in the Maharashtra state. An increase in the financial amount of up to INR 2100 will be given to all the female beneficiaries instead of INR 1500 if the Mahayuti Party gets elected. The Maharashtra state government has not given any specific date for the launch of the November installment of the scheme.

- The female citizens must be between the age group of 21 to 60 years.
- The female citizens must be financially unstable citizens of the state.
- The annual income of the female citizen family must not exceed INR 2.5 lakh.
