Objective of Mo Ghara Yojana Odisha
The primary objective of the Mo Ghara Yojana Odisha is to give the people of Odish a chance to buy their own houses. The State Government has committed to “Puca House for All.” Since 2014โ15, the State has so far provided more than 3 million houses through a variety of programs. To offer sufficient financial assistance to allow rural households to build reasonably sized pucca houses. The beneficiary will receive a housing loan up to Rs. 3 lakhs, with a pause of one year and repayment terms of ten years. Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals lodging in a pucca house with two or more rooms covered by an RCC roof.
- households who previously benefited from housing assistance of at least Rs. 70,000 through one of the rural housing schemes.

Financial Assistance
- Program participants are eligible for up to a Rs. 3 lakh housing loan, which can be repaid over ten years except for a one-year grace period in convenient installments.
- As per the Cabinet notification, the loan amount slabs are as follows: Rs. 1 lakh, Rs. 1.5 lakh, Rs. 2 lakhs, and Rs. 3 lakhs.
- Individuals who have previously received housing aid totaling 70,000 rupees or less, as well as those with monthly incomes under 25,000 rupees, may qualify for a loan under the Mo Ghara program.

Subsidy Calculation
- If the housing loan interest rate charged by a bank is 9%, the EMI will be as follows;
- Effective Principal after 1 year @ 9% Interest
- EMI @ 9% rate of interest for 10 years (in Rs.)
- The actual EMI will vary from bank to bank depending upon their interest rates.
Implementation Process
- A specific website will be established to facilitate the receipt of applications.
- Interested households can apply online at https://rhodisha.gov.in/moghara to obtain credit linkage by completing the form found in Annexure-A.
- The applicant may use Mo-Seva Kendra’s services to file an application and monitor the progress of a loan application.
- After receiving the application, the relevant BDO will check the applicant’s eligibility using the checklist in Annexure-B and upload the results to the special website.
- Block workers will use the “Ama Ghara” mobile app to geotag the planned construction site and the current residence.
- Block will help the applicant with the estimate and plan preparation.
- The responsible J.E. of the concerned GP will, in consultation with the applicant, prepare the plan and estimate by the standard specified in Annexure-C.
- The applicant is free to enlist the assistance of any other qualified individual in creating her or his estimate and plan.
- Under this Scheme, the BDO/AEE is designated as the approving authority for the plan and estimate.
- Before supporting the bank application, Block will upload the approved plan and estimate to the online portal.
