The candidates from the state who pass the UPSC Civil Services Mains examination will be given financial aid of Rs 1 lakh. It was introduced at Praja Bhavan to assist aspiring government workers in their search for success in competitive examinations. A unique scheme was introduced by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy known as Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam scheme. The goal of this scheme is to offer financial support to Telangana residents aspiring to join the Civil Services. Candidates who pass the Mains exams would receive โน1 lakh to help with preparation. About 400 Telangana aspirants who qualify for the Mains each year will benefit from the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam program. As part of its Nirmaan program, Singareni Collieries Company Ltd. (SCCL) will offer the support for the civil services Aspirants. This scheme will help the Aspirants to continue their journey of preparing for civil services.
Objective of Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam
The objective of this initiative is to eliminate financial obstacles that impede gifted people from realizing their aspirations of becoming government servants. To empower and uplift Telangana’s youth, the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam offers financial assistance to those who aspire to become civil service Officers. After a candidate passes the preliminary exam, the program provides financial support through Singareni Collieries to help them prepare for the mains examination. Approximately 50,000 candidates from Telangana register for the Civil Services Preliminary test each year, and between 400 and 500 of them advance to the next phase, according to official data.

Eligibility Criteria
- The initiative is open to candidates who fall into one of the following categories
- Women, SC, ST, OBC, or Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), but their family’s yearly income cannot exceed โน8 lakhs.
- The candidates have to be Telangana permanent residents.
