The Government of India has now started receiving applications for the Ayushman Bharat card for senior citizens of India. All the senior citizens who are above the age of 70 years are eligible to apply for the senior citizen Ayushman Bharat card online. The Union Cabinet of India led by the President of India Mr. Narendra Modi approved the Ayushman Bharat card for senior citizens on 11th September 2024. The senior citizens are requested to visit the official website and fill out the application form online to avail the benefits of the 70+ Senior Citizen Ayushman Card.
About Senior Citizen Ayushman Bharat Scheme
To help the financially unstable senior citizens of India get proper Healthcare treatment Government of India has started the Senior Citizen Ayushman Bharat Scheme. Under this scheme, the Government of India will provide Healthcare facilities of up to INR 5 lakh to all the selected senior citizens. As per the Government of India if the senior citizen family is already under the Ayushman Bharat scheme then they will receive an additional top-up of INR 5 lakh. According to reports, a total of 6 crore senior citizens of India are eligible to receive the benefits of the Senior Citizen Ayushman Bharat Scheme.
PM Modi Official Roll Out PMJAY for Senior Citizen
The Prime Minister of India, Mr Narendra Modi, has announced the launch of PMJAY for Senior Citizens. According to sources, the authorities will release the PMJAY for senior citizens on 29 October 2024. All the senior citizens selected under the scheme are eligible for life insurance coverage of INR 5 lakh. Only citizens of India who are above the age of 70 are eligible for this scheme. If the senior citizen’s family is registered under the scheme they will receive extra life insurance of INR 5 lakh. This initiative will provide benefits to almost 4.5 crore households in India.

Objective of Senior Citizen Ayushman Card
The main objective of launching the Senior Citizen Ayushman Card is to help the economically backward senior citizens who cannot afford proper Healthcare. This scheme will apply for the social status and standard of living of all the financial uustable sinor citizens of India. STEP 1: All the senior citizens of India who clear the eligibility criteria are requested to visit the official website and fill out the application form to avail the benefits of the 70+ Senior Citizen Ayushman Card.
STEP 2: Once the senior citizens reach the homepage of the official website they must locate and click on the option called apply online.
