CM will Launch Pudhalvan Scheme on 9th Aug
The chief minister of Tamil Nadu State is all set to launch the scheme on 9th August 2024. The event will take place at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu state where the Chief Minister Mr MK Stalin himself will be present. Under this scheme, the Tamil Nadu state government will provide financial assistance to all the students who are studying in government schools. Only the students who are currently enrolled in classes 6 to 8 are eligible to avail of the benefits of the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme 2024. According to the Tamil Nadu state government, a total of 3.28 lakh students across the state will avail themselves of financial assistance under the scheme.
Objective of Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme
The main objective of launching the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme is to improve the financial status of all male students studying in government schools in Tamil Nadu state. Under the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme, the Tamil Nadu state government aims to provide monthly financial assistance of INR 1000 to all the selected applicants. According to the government, a total of 3 lakh male students studying in Government schools will be selected under the Pudhalvan Scheme. The Tamil Nadu State government has put up a total budget of INR 360 crores for the implementation of the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme.

STEP 1: All the applications to clear the eligibility criteria must visit the Official UMIS Website to apply for the Tamil Pudhalvan Scheme 2024 online.
STEP 2: Once the applicant reaches the homepage of the official website the applicant must enter their username and password.
STEP 3: The user name is the EMIS/UMIS number (you may get it from your respective institute nodal officer). For example, 9*******12. The default password is an 8-digit combination of the last 4 digits of their mobile number registered in UMIS and their year of birth. For example, if your mobile number is 9876-05-4321 and your DOB is 12/09/1999, then the password is ‘43211999’.
STEP 4: After getting the username the applicant can set up their password, enter the capture code, and click on the option login.
STEP 5: The application form will now appear on your desktop screen the applicant must enter all the details that are asked and attach all the documents.
STEP 6: After entering all the details the applicant must quickly review it and click on the option submit to complete their process.
