Telangana Crop Loan 2nd Phase Start
After providing benefits to more than 11 lakh farmers in Telangana state, the Telangana state government has now announced the start of the second phase. The second phase of the Telangana crop loan waiver scheme will start on July 30, 2024. As informed earlier, the Telangana state government will waive INR 1.5 lakh of outstanding loans under the second phase. The Telangana state government has anticipated waiving all the outstanding loans of the farmers of Telangana state by August 15, 2024. This scheme is one of the most glorious schemes that has been introduced by the state government in Telangana and will uplift the financial status of all the farmers in the state.
About New Telangana Crop Loan Waiver Scheme Guidelines
The State government issued a government order, GO Rt. No 567, on Monday defined the guidelines for putting the crop loan waiver into effect. The waiver would be restricted to Rs. 2 lakhs for each farmer’s family, per the General Order. A farmer’s family would be using the Civil Supplies Department’s food security card database as a criterion. Short-term agricultural loans secured between December 12, 2018, and December 9, 2023, would be subject to this. Loans obtained from district cooperative banks, rural banks, and scheduled commercial banks would be excluded from the waiver. This plan aims to provide relief to all farmers in the state of Telangana who have outstanding loans by waiving them.
