What is Digital India Internship Scheme?
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Of India launched the Digital India Internship Scheme to help the young minds of India. With the help of this scheme, the students can learn practical skills that will help them to get a job easily. The students can choose from 18 different topics to pursue their internship. There are a total of 24 slots in every topic under the Digital India Internship Scheme. All the Indian students from recognized universities in India who have secured at least 60% marks in the last held degree or certificate examination are eligible to apply.

Objective of the Digital India Internship Scheme
The main objective of launching the scheme is to help the students of India get knowledge about different topics. All the students who will get selected for the Digital India Internship Scheme will go to New Delhi to pursue the Internship. After the completion of the internship, the students will also receive a financial stipend of up to INR 10000. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the selected applicant’s bank account. The minimum duration of the internship shall be two months, extendable up to three months, depending on the candidate’s performance and the requirements of the Ministry.

Duration of Internship

Selection Process
- The Interns will be shortlisted and selected by the respective organizations/Groups/Divisions for their concerned domain.
- For selection of interns, personal or Skype Interviews, may be conducted, if deemed necessary. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the personal interview.
- Only the applicants who have scored at least 60% marks in their last degree examination are selected for the scheme.
- The Intern shall follow the rules and regulations, which generally apply to the Ministry’s employees.
