About AP Free Power Supply Scheme for Farmers
The AP free power supply scheme is being improved, according to Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar, to ensure that farmers receive high-quality power. It boosts agricultural income while simultaneously giving them more power. Under the AP Free Power Supply Scheme, farmers, families belonging to SC and ST groups, and farmers will receive nine hours of free or reduced-cost electricity during the day. The authorities told the minister that around 23 lakh SC/ST people in the state were using energy and that every tribal area was getting power from the power utility. According to them, solar electricity has been intended to be supplied to the tribal habitations where running power lines is impractical.
