Under the scheme, the Assam state government will provide Scooty to all the meritorious female students who will score good marks in their class 12 examinations. With the help of the Scooty the female students did not have to depend on anyone for their day-to-day travel. Eligibility Criteria
- The students must pass the higher secondary final examination 2024, conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
- Female students must score 60% or more marks
- Male students must score at least 75% or more marks.
- Students in the betterment and reappearance category are not eligible for the scheme.
- Dropout students are also not eligible for the scheme.
- The students must be permanent residents of Assam state.
- Students must continue their studies beyond 10 + 2.

Benefits of the Assam Pragyan Bharati Scooty Scheme

Financial Assistance
- Under the scheme, a total financial assistance of INR 50,000 will be given to the selected applicants.
Distribution Process
- Initially, a list of students will be collected by the Assam State Government Senior Secondary Education Council.
- Then the list of beneficiaries will be uploaded on the official portal and the Director of Higher Education will notify a list of consignee principals to ensure the smooth distribution of a Scooty to eligible beneficiaries
- The eligible students can collect the appreciation certificate from the concerned consignee principal and submit it to the allotted dealer.
- The Assam state government will provide the amount of scooter registration and insurance to the consignee principal. After properly verifying the beneficial details, the principal will release the money to the concerned dealer
- The students must understand that they did not need to pay any amount to the dealer for the cost of registration and insurance when they collect their scooty.
- In case of the unfortunate death of the student, the legal guardians may or may not choose to collect the scooty.
- The beneficiaries of the Dr Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Award under the Pragran Bharati scheme shall not be eligible for the Nijut Moina Scheme.
- However, if any Girl beneficiary opts out of receiving the scooter, she can apply for the Nijut Moina Scheme.
