What is DDA?
Delhi Development Authority is a government body under the Delhi government that is responsible for the construction and advancement of infrastructure in the Delhi and Noida region. The DDA was established in 1957 under the Delhi Development Act. DDA plays a vital role in shaping the city’s urban landscape. The primary function of DDA includes land development, housing construction for various income groups, and providing infrastructure like parks, commercial complexes, and sports facilities. The Delhi Development Authority also launched various schemes for the citizens who want to purchase affordable housing units and flats. DDA has announced a new scheme offering a total of 828 flats to the citizens of Delhi. From the 828 total flats, a total of 624 flats belong to the LIG group and 204 flats belong to the EWS category. The launch of this scheme, will significantly help the citizens of Delhi and allow them to purchase housing units at a very affordable rate. The flats will be given to the candidates on a First-Come-First-Serve basis.
Objective of DDA Housing Scheme
The main objective of launching the DDA Apna Ghar Awas Yojana is to allow the citizens of Delhi and the Noida region to purchase affordable housing at various top locations. During registration, the citizens have to pay a registration fee of INR 2500. To make the scheme affordable for the citizens who belong to the EWS category, the authorities have provided special discounts and a reduction in the booking amount. According to the information, a total of 7500 flats are available under the scheme, including locations such as Loknayakpuram, Siraspur, and Narela.

Eligibility Criteria
- The citizens must be Indian citizens to apply.
- The citizens must have to be at least 18 years old on the last date of application and must be legally able to sign a contract.
- There is no restriction on owning land or built-up property in Delhi.
- The citizens applying under the EWS category must have a family income not more than ₹10 lakh per year. This applies to both the applicant and the co-applicant separately
- There is no income limit for other categories except EWS.
- Family income includes the income of the applicant and their spouse if married.
- The citizens must have a savings bank account in their own name and mention it in the application form.
- The citizens must have a PAN card issued under the Income Tax Act and mention it in the application form.
- In case of joint application under the disability category (Divyangjan), the main applicant must belong to that category.
- The joint applicant must be a family member such as a parent, blood relative, spouse, or dependent relative (including unmarried ones).
