The Assam state government launched the Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme 2024. To provide financial assistance and other benefits to the youth of Assam state so that they can start their entrepreneurial journey the Assam state government launched the Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme 2024. According to the Government of Assam state, a total of 2 lakh beneficiaries across the Assam state will receive the benefits under the scheme. All the permanent residents of Assam state who are between the age group of 28 to 40 years are eligible to avail the benefits of the Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme 2024.
The objective of Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme
The main objective of launching the scheme is to help the unemployed citizens of Assam state get employment opportunities. With the help of financial assistance under the scheme, the unemployed citizens can start their businesses which will increase employment opportunities for others also. The financial assistance of INR 2 lakh to 5 lakh will be given to the selected applicants in 2 installments under the Mukhyamantri Atmanirbhar Asom Scheme. The financial assistance will be transferred directly to the selected applicant’s bank account. Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be a permanent resident of Assam and above 28 years and below 40 years as of 1st April 2023 (the upper age limit is relaxed to 43 years for SC/ST/OBC category).
- The applicant should possess the following educational qualifications as –
- ย Minimum qualification Class X Pass for general category (For candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC: up to class X)
- ITI, Polytechnic, Diploma in other Technical Courses, Post Graduates
- Degree Holders in Professional courses like Engineering, MBBS, BDS, Veterinary, Fisheries, Agriculture, etc.
- The applicant should possess skills, experiences, knowledge, etc., to undertake income-generating activities.
- The applicants should have a bank account, which has been opened before 31st December 2023.
- The applicant should not have defaulted on any loan taken from a Co-operative and Nationalized Bank in the past.
- No more than one family member shall be eligible for availing benefits under this scheme.
- The applicant must have valid registration in the Employment Exchange.
